Chapter 15: Coming Home & New Beginnings

Saisha's POV

The journey back home felt different. Udaipur had given me something I never knew I needed - freedom, memories, and a piece of myself I had never explored before.

As the plane landed, I exhaled slowly, my fingers still tracing the edge of the bangle Pranay had gotten for me. A small smile played on my lips. A memory, he had said. And now, I carried it with me, along with countless moments from our trip.

By the time we reached home, exhaustion settled into my bones. But stepping inside, I realized something - this house no longer felt unfamiliar. It had started to feel... like home.

Pranay stretched his arms, letting out a tired sigh. "Finally back."

I nodded, setting my bag down. "Yes."

"You should rest," he said, looking at me. "It's been a long journey."

"You too," I replied.

For a second, neither of us moved. There was something about coming back after spending days together that felt different. A shift. A change.

But before I could think too much, he yawned dramatically. "I'll go freshen up first."

I smiled, shaking my head as he disappeared into the room. The easy comfort between us... I liked it.

After freshening up, I walked into the kitchen, instinctively preparing tea. It felt strange, being back in my daily routine. Only days ago, I was walking through Udaipur's streets, clicking pictures, exploring, living in a way I never had before.

Pranay walked in just as I was pouring tea into cups. His damp hair clung to his forehead, and he looked refreshed yet completely at ease, like he belonged here.

"I missed this," he said, taking a sip.

"What?" I asked curiously.

"This... tea. And your cooking."

His words sent a warmth through me. It was such a simple thing, but no one had ever said it to me before.

After finishing our tea, we sat in the living room, the evening light casting golden hues on the walls.

"So..." Pranay began, tilting his head. "Do you miss Udaipur already?"

I thought for a moment before nodding. "A little."

He chuckled. "I knew it. I caught you staring at your bangles at least five times today."

I looked down, embarrassed. "I wasn't staring."

"You were," he teased, leaning back. "It's okay. I get it. It was your first trip like that."

"Yes," I admitted softly. "And it made me realize something."

"What?"

I hesitated, my fingers brushing against the rim of my cup. "That... there's so much I haven't seen, haven't done. I never thought about it before, but now... I want to see more."

Pranay's gaze softened. "You will."

His words were a promise.

And for the first time in my life, I believed it.
