"The greatest love is not to change someone, but to support them in being more of who they already are."
Roohi's pov:
The rhythmic clatter of keyboards echoed softly in the office, but my mind was buzzing louder than ever. The announcement had just been made in the boardroom - I was promoted to Chief Technology Officer. CTO. It felt surreal.
"Congratulations, Roohi," my CEO, Mr. Khanna, said with a warm smile as I stood in his office. "You've proven yourself time and again. You deserve it."
"Thank you so much, sir," I said, my voice a mixture of gratitude and disbelief.
"You've worked tirelessly, and it shows. But remember, Roohi," he added, his tone fatherly, "success isn't just about hard work. It's also about staying grounded and cherishing those who support you along the way."
I nodded, the weight of his words sinking in. "I'll remember that, sir. Thank you for believing in me."
As I stepped out of his office, the excitement bubbled up again. I had to share this with Vivaan. My Vivaan. He was the one who encouraged me, stood by me when I doubted myself. On my way home, I stopped by a sweet shop and picked up a box of his favorite kaju katli and some gulab jamun.
Vivaan's pov:
I was sketching the outline of a new painting in my studio when I heard the front door click open. "Vivaan!" Roohi's voice rang out, cheerful and vibrant. I set down my pencil and turned toward the living room, curious about her excitement.
She stood there, a radiant smile lighting up her face, holding a box of sweets. "Guess what!"
I leaned back against the doorframe, folding my arms. "Hmm... you bought sweets because you like me so much?" I teased, grinning.
She rolled her eyes, laughing. "I definitely like you,but not everything is about you, Vivaan." Then before i could guess, unable to contain herself, she blurted out, "I got promoted! I'm the CTO now!"
For a moment, I just stared at her, processing her words. Then I walked over, pulling her into a tight hug. "Roohi, that's amazing. I'm so proud of you," I said softly.
She pulled back, her eyes sparkling. "You think i deserve this?"
"Of course. You've worked so hard for this. It's about time they recognized it," I replied, brushing a stray strand of hair from her face.
"We have to celebrate," I said, her excitement contagious.
she whined ,"that's not necessary vivaan. "
"We will. Let's call Dadi, Meera, and your parents over for dinner. This is big news, Roohi. Everyone should know how amazing you are."

Later That Evening
The house was abuzz with energy. Dadi and Meera arrived first, bringing flowers and a big hug for Roohi.
"My roohi bacha is now a CTO!" Dadi exclaimed, beaming with pride as she cupped Roohi's face. "This is just the beginning beta, you'll soon get everything you deserve."
"thank you, dadi," Roohi said, though her cheeks flushed with happiness.
Meera handed Roohi a small gift box. "This is just a token of love . You've deserve it bhabhi."
When Roohi's parents arrived, her mother hugged her tightly, her eyes misty. "You've made us so proud, beta. We always knew you were destined for great things."
"Thank you, Maa," Roohi said, her voice soft.
"Vivaan," Roohi's father said, turning to him, "I must say, she glows differently these days. You've been a good influence on her." He spoke,"she is lucky to get a partner who supports her in every step."
Vivaan smiled, scratching the back of his neck. "It's all her hard work, Uncle. I'm just lucky to have her in my life."
As the evening went on, the family laughed, shared stories, and celebrated Roohi's achievement with a hearty dinner and the sweets she had brought home.
Roohi's pov:
Later that night, as we lay in bed, I turned to Vivaan. "Thank you," I whispered.
"For what?" he asked, his voice low and soothing.
"For supporting me,for believing in me. For making me feel like I could conquer anything," I said, my hand resting on his.
He smiled, his gaze warm and tender. "You didn't need me for that, Roohi. You've always been strong. I just reminded you of what was already there."
My heart swelled with love for him. "Still... thank you."
He kissed my forehead. "You deserve everything good in this world, Roohi. And I'll make sure you get it."
In that moment, I knew-no matter what challenges lay ahead, we'd face them together. As we cuddled up in eachother's arms I drifted into a warm , comforting slumber after a long, tiring day.
