Prologue

The world had always been small for Saisha Yadav.

A home with four walls, a courtyard where the sun barely reached, and a village that existed only in fragments of hushed conversations she overheard. She had never questioned it. Never wondered what lay beyond the narrow paths she walked every day. Because she was told she didn’t need to.

Girls like her didn’t dream of skies too vast or roads too long. Girls like her stayed where they belonged.

But then came the wedding—the moment she had known was written in her fate since childhood. A man she had never spoken to, a life she had never imagined. And suddenly, everything changed.

Pranay Mishra wasn’t the kind of man who belonged in a place like this. He had left this village years ago, chasing something bigger, something beyond. But fate—or perhaps an old promise—had pulled him back. To a marriage he never planned. To a girl who had never stepped outside her home.

She was untouched by the world. He had seen too much of it.

And yet, as their paths intertwined, something unexpected happened.

A hand hesitantly extended. A stolen glance beneath the veil. A moment where the world stretched just a little wider.

Because maybe, just maybe, love wasn’t about where you came from. Maybe it was about who you found along the way.

And for the first time in her life, Saisha dared to dream.
